The journey began in 2021, during the Covid lockdown, when my partner began experimenting with making keycaps by hand using clay. As a National Service Full-Time, with more time than money, we turned this creative outlet into a self-sustaining hobby. I came on board to help support the technical side of the project, which eventually evolved into a small but thriving business: Klaykaps.

From the start, I focused on building the backend infrastructure that would allow the business to grow efficiently and sustainably. Some key technical contributions I made include:

•Automated Invoicing System Integrated Python with the Shopify API to fully automate invoice generation and dispatch. Result: Reduced manual processing time by over 75% Built in robust error handling and logging to ensure system reliability and traceability Proprietary Raffle Management System Architected a secure, high-performance system to handle large-scale raffles (1,000+ participants per event). Developed a secure identity verification layer Implemented queue scheduling and time-based release mechanisms for product drops

•Custom Shopify Store Development Led full-stack development of the store, ensuring both aesthetics and technical robustness: Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript Backend: PHP with Shopify API Built custom checkout flows tailored to our collector-focused customer base Designed for full mobile responsiveness

•Global Countdown Timer Developed a timezone-aware countdown system for product releases, crucial for our global fanbase. Scraped accurate time data from Yahoo APIs Anchored the countdown to server-side time to prevent manipulation Implemented caching for improved performance and reliability

Infrastructure Automation Created a Python-based Telegram bot for server health monitoring. Integrated with Apache on Windows Server (WAMP stack) Automated health checks and real-time alert notifications Set up alert escalation protocols to improve response times Impact: Completely eliminated manual server status checks
